DAY 1

Arrive Auckland - City Tour

Today see firsthand why Auckland is regarded as one of the best cities in the world to live in, as you enjoy this half day tour around the central city and picturesque suburbs. Journey begins with a short trip over the Harbour Bridge to the North Shore before returning to the central city to visit Queen St and the Auckland Viaduct. You will then drive along the scenic waterfront route of Tamaki Drive to the Michael Joseph Savage Memorial Park, in Mission Bay.

A memorial to the first Labour Prime Minister of New Zealand and the founder of the welfare state. Michael Joseph Savage Memorial Park has panoramic views over Whenua Rangatira, Auckland city and Waitemata Harbour. This park is a popular wedding and tourist venue, with formal gardens and perfect venue for flying a fabulous array of colourful and creative kites. Then return to downtown Auckland. Highlights: Harbour Bridge, Viaduct Harbour, Queen Street, Auckland Domain, Tamaki Drive, Michael Savage Memorial.

DAY 2

Auckland To Rotorua - Enroute Visit Waitomo Caves

After breakfast we will checkout and proceed for 1.5 hrs Fullers Auckland Harbour Cruise: 10.00 AM
Cruise highlights
Highlights include views of the Harbour Bridge, the city skyline, Devonport`s historic naval base, Bean Rock Lighthouse and panoramic views of Rangitoto Island. Our crew will serve you with morning or afternoon tea (a hot drink and a muffin).

After Harbour Cruise, travel across the rich Waikato farmland for Waitomo. Enjoy a guided tour of the Waitomo Caves and a boat ride through the famous Glowworm grotto. Enjoy twinkling lights emitting from the ceiling like stars in a dark night. Later travel across to forested Mamaku Range to arrive at the thermal resort of Rotorua.

DAY 3

Rotorua - City Tour With Skyline Gandola & Te - Puia

Today proceed to Agrodome to witness the Agrodome Agricultural Show, where you will be entertained by New Zealand’s performing sheep and other attractions. Later proceed to visit Te-Puia thermal village known for its hot springs, geysers and boiling mud pools. Watch the Maori craftsmen and learn about the traditional arts of carving and weaving and Rainbow Springs to see the flora and fauna of New Zealand.

The Skyline Rotorua complex is situated just minutes from central Rotorua, high up Mt Ngongotaha.

To begin your Skyline Rotorua adventure, take a leisurely uphill Gondola ride and enjoy the extensive views of Rotorua, the surrounding lakes and geothermal areas.

Te Puia is the premier Maori cultural centre in New Zealand - a place of gushing waters, steaming vents, boiling mud pools and spectacular geysers. Our Maori tradition lives on at Te Whakarewarewa, with our guided tours and attractions, our Maori culture, and our National Carving and Weaving Schools of New Zealand. Guided tours run on the hour every hour from 9am to 5pm.
 

Polynesian Spa Lake Spa 1 Adult

Overlooking Lake Rotorua, the Lake Spa is Polynesian Spa’s deluxe hot mineral bathing and relaxation area. Enjoy tranquil bathing and lake views in four shallow alkaline rock pools, each with different temperatures (36 DC to 42 DC). Here you are surrounded by revitalizing native New Zealand flora, natural rocks, the sound of two waterfalls and a grotto. The pools are filled with soothing alkaline mineral water leaving your skin soft and supple.

DAY 4

Rotorua To Queenstown

Upon arrival we will go for Queenstown sightseeing including Bungy bridge (jump not included), Gibbston valley winery cave tour.

Skyline Queenstown Gondola Ride 1 Adult

Marvel at the stunning views as you ride the Skyline Queenstown Gondola - the steepest cable car lift in the Southern Hemisphere! Sit back and relax as the best views in the region unfold before your eyes and the Gondola carries you 450 metres above Queenstown and Lake Wakatipu to the top of Bob’s Peak. En route you will enjoy a spectacular 220 degree panorama, with breath taking views of Coronet Peak, The Remarkables, Walter Peak, Cecil Peak and over Queenstown. On arrival the purpose built viewing platforms and outdoor terraces provide great photo opportunities. Please Note: Gondola is open from 9am daily 365 days of the year and access closes approximately at 9pm for uplift guests, as the last booking for the restaurant is 8.45pm. Last Gondola departure from top terminal is upon restaurant closing.

DAY 5

Queenstown - Milford Sound Cruise

Today we will enjoy the Milford sound cruise(We recommend you to start your journey early morning around 0730am)

Take an unforgettable journey into the heart of Milford Sound. You’ll experience the world famous fiord - rich in dense rainforest, glacier carved valleys and beautiful waterfalls. Journey across the Southern Alps and travel deep into the Homer Tunnel, a 1.2km tunnel drilled through solid rock. Uncover Eglinton Valley, a place of ancient alpine forest and gushing waterfalls, take photos of the stunning Mirror Lakes, then walk across The Chasm. At the deep waters of Milford Sound, board your 1hr 45mins Scenic Cruise. See the wonders of Mitre Peak, glacier-scarred rock walls and waterfalls that tumble through valleys and crash into the sea far below. After your cruise return to Queenstown. Depart Queenstown and travel via Lake Wanaka and through the historic Haast Pass, gateway to the World Heritage Westland National Park. Continue up the West Coast past spectacular mountain ranges, native forests and lakes to the glacier region of Franz Josef. (350 kms.; 4hrs 30mins. approx.)

Franz Josef To Christchurch Via Greymouth

After lunch we will board Tranz Alpine train and ascend through lush beech forests past the alpine village of Arthur`s Pass before crossing the spectacular Southern Alps. Travel over Canterbury Plains to Christchurch.
 

Departs: Greymouth Station: 01:45pm (Report 30 min prior to train departure)
Arrives: Christchurch Station: 06:05pm
