Breakfast at Hotel. Proceed to board your coach for Kremlin with Cathedrals , Armoury including walk at Red Square , Visit Lenin Tomb if it is possible (Subject to availability of time and spot position). Armoury Museum: Like the Faceted Chamber, the Armory forms part of Great Kremlin Palace complex. The building was erected as part of Konstantin Ton’s project between 1844 and 1851. From the start the space was intended as a museum to house the treasures of the Tsars. Before this the collection had been housed in the much smaller Armory Chamber on the same site. The new structure fitted comfortably into the Palace complex as a whole, being stylistically similar to the Great Kremlin Palace itself. The two-tiered chamber of the ground floor is particularly impressive and the fasade is decorated with sculpted and ornamented columns. The building housed a suite of apartment with high ? vaulted ceilings ,and the central hall is round. The museum’s collection fills nine halls and includes exquisite jewelry, men’s and women’s clothing, carriages, armor, weaponry and many other fascinating artifacts from the cultural and domestic life of different eras. A good example is the legendary Crown of Monomakh, supposedly a gift to Prince Vladimir of Kiev, in the 11th century, from the Byzantine Emperor Constantine IX Monomachus, and thus a symbol of Russia’s claim to the spiritual and imperial heritage of Byzantium. It was used in the coronation ceremony of all the Tsars until 1682. The museum brings the past to life for visitors, conjuring up images of splendid balls, bleak military campaigns and the everyday lives of the Russian people. The word "Kremlin" means simply "fortification" in Russian. The Kremlin is the historical, spiritual and political heart of Moscow and the city’s most famous landmark and tourist attraction. It’s an intriguing ensemble of buildings with an architectural variety that reveals a long and fascinating history. The Kremlin stands at the confluence of the Moscow and Neglinaya Rivers on Borovitsky Hill. Red Square: Surrounded by the stark severity of the Lenin`s Mausoleum, the expansive facade of the world-famous GUM and the exuberant colors of St. Basil`s Cathedral, Red Square is, and deserves to be, the requisite first stop for any visitor to Moscow. Red Square earned its name from the Russian word for "red", which many centuries ago also meant "beautiful". The square’s vast cobbled expanse is flanked by some of Moscow’s most famous tourist attractions. After completion sightseeing tour continues to Moscow University New Maiden Convent (outside) & Metro tour. Moscow State University (MGU) is the oldest educational institution of Russia. The Novodevichy Convent or "New Maidens Convent"- The red and white crenellated walls and golden domes of Novodevichy Convent make it one of Moscow’s most attractive monasteries. Situated a short walk from the Luzhniki Sports Stadium, in a tranquil southern suburb of Moscow, inside a bend in the Moscow River, the Convent’s leafy gardens are a pleasure to stroll in during the summer months and a welcome retreat from the bustle of the city. Many of the city’s monasteries served as retirement homes for royal and noble women, who either chose or were forced to take the veil and remain in the safety and seclusion of the convents for the rest of their lives.
